INTERVIEW WITH CONNIE RAITT OF EVAROSE

1. Hit The Deck is one of the first festivals of the year. Are you excited for the festival season? How do you prepare?

Yes. We played HTD back in 2011 and loved it so can’t wait to be back again to see what it’s got to offer this year.  Up until then it’s just practising and writing some new stuff.

2. There’s a lot of bands playing across the day so why should people come and see you?

‘cause there will be trouble if you don’t!!!!!!!!!


3. Hit The Deck is an all day event with an after party that will go long into the night. What are your tips for surviving the whole event?

The 3 H’s: Hydration, hand sanitizer, hotel. Ensure you stay on top of these and you’re good to go!

4. Are there any other bands you hoping to catch on the day?

Loaaaaddsss! Just to name a few: Lost Alone, Mallory Knox, The James Cleaver Quintet, Natives, Canterbury.

5. What plans do you have for the summer?

We’ve got all sorts this summer. We will be playing a few awesome shows  and festivals over the summer months as well as writing, recording and releasing new material :)

6. What was the first festival you attended?

Robyn set us off when she was just a mere 14 years young by hitting Download festival with her mum. Rock on!

7. If you could program a main stage (7 bands) past or present, who would you pick?

Taking the whole bands thoughts into consideration it would have to be:  Incubus, The Used, The Police, Rammstein, Alexisonfire, Spinal Tap, Reuben.

8. What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen at a festival?

Nipple tassels. I say no more!
